YouTube Shorts are short, vertical videos designed to be easily created and consumed on mobile devices. Posting a YouTube Short is simple and can help you reach a wider audience. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get you started:

1. Prepare Your Video

  • Length: Make sure your video is 60 seconds or less.
  • Format: Use a vertical aspect ratio (9:16 is recommended).
  • Content: Keep it engaging and concise.

2. Open the YouTube App

  • Launch the YouTube app on your mobile device.
  • Sign in to your account if you haven’t already.

3. Tap the "+" Button

  • At the bottom of the screen, tap the "+" (Create) button.
  • Select "Create a Short" from the menu.

4. Record or Upload Your Video

  • To record: Hold the red record button to capture your Short.
  • To upload: Tap the gallery icon to select a pre-recorded video.

5. Edit Your Short

  • Add music, text, filters, or adjust the speed as needed.
  • Trim your video to fit within the 60-second limit.

6. Add Details

  • Write a catchy title (include #Shorts to help with discovery).
  • Choose visibility settings (Public, Unlisted, or Private).
  • Select your audience (e.g., "Yes, it’s made for kids" if applicable).

7. Upload Your Short

  • Tap "Upload" to publish your Short to your channel.

Tips for Success:

  • Use trending sounds or music.
  • Keep your message clear and direct.
  • Add captions or text for accessibility.
